Harnessing the sun's power for ourselves

Using roof areas effectively, producing solar power and saving CO2 at the same time: in collaboration with VERBUND (Austria's leading energy company), photovoltaic systems are being installed on the roofs of Vetropack's plant in Kremsmünster, Austria. The green light has already been given for the first phase of this multi-stage project. After completion of this work in August 2022, the plant will produce solar power equivalent to the annual consumption of about 400 households. The power is to be used directly in the Kremsmünster plant to make glass production more sustainable.
