Italy
Over the last few years, we have had the pleasure of welcoming secondary school students from Magenta (MI) to our Boffalora sopra Ticino plant on several occasions. Through guided tours and discussions, the students had the opportunity to gain an insight into Vetropack’s production processes and see how a modern manufacturing company operates.
We have also recently hosted four students on a work-study programme within our electrical maintenance department. During this period, the students were able to work alongside our colleagues, observe day-to-day operations and gain their first practical experience of the world of work.
We believe these initiatives are important for both the students and the company. For young people, they represent an opportunity to gain an insight into the professional world before completing their education, helping them to better understand the skills required and the opportunities offered by the industrial sector. For us, on the other hand, it is a way to raise awareness of our company, promote the value of industrial work and contribute to the training of the next generation.
As a company, we aim to be a point of reference in the local area and a place where people can envisage their own professional future. For this reason, we will continue to invest in partnerships with schools, convinced that dialogue between the education sector and business is essential for building skills, creating opportunities and preparing the professionals of tomorrow.
