The second Vetro Challenge competition for primary school students is open

25.10.2023: After last year's successful first edition, Vetropack Straža has opened applications for the second Vetro Challenge competition for primary school students from the Krapina-Zagorje, Međimurje and Varaždin counties to come up with innovative solutions to protect the environment and promote sustainability.

Vetro Challenge is a project aimed at teaching primary school children about the importance of sustainable waste management and the role of glass packaging in the circular economy. Through five innovation challenges, we encourage young people to see challenges as opportunities and to take the initiative to create positive change in society.

Each school can register a team of four students and a mentor to choose one of the five challenges:

  • Proposing a redesign of the website  
  • Designing a mascot to promote glass recycling and related promotional materials
  • How to increase recycling of all types of waste at school
  • How to encourage local residents to put more used glass packaging into recycling bins
  • How to get parents more interested in waste and the environment.

The teams can choose one of the five challenges, create a solution and submit it via this link by 10 November 2023.

The six best projects will be invited to the final presentation at Vetropack Straža on 12 December 2023, where we will select the three best projects.

The first three teams will receive valuable priyses and the school from which the best project comes will be awarded 1,000 euros.
