On Saturday 3rd September 2022, after 6 years, we opened the gate of the glass factory in Kyjov again for all enthusiasts and lovers of glass production. And the interest was really big. At 10:00 a.m. sharp, a crowd of visitors that wanted to see the modern production of packaging glass began to flow into the glass factory.
In addition to the tour of the production itself, an accompanying program was also prepared for the visitors. Adult visitors could view 3 exhibitions (an exhibition about recycling, a presentation of the projects Small Things Around Us grant program or Sea of Rubbish exhibition) as well as presentations of non-profit organizations from the area. A children's workshop, a large sandpit, bouncy castles or fire trucks inspection were prepared for children. The biggest attraction, however, was undoubtedly the forklifts, in which the children could sit and see them really close.
The crowd gradually turned into smaller or larger groups of visitors, who were coming until almost 3:00 p.m., when the gate of the glass factory closed again. In total approximately 2,000 people passed through our plant, this number is comparable to the number of visitors 6 years ago.
We are glad that the interest in glass production is not decreasing. And no wonder. Anyone who has ever visited our glass factory knows how fascinating the synchronized dance of red-hot drops of glass is. It is great that visitors from nearby or further could also enjoy this performance for a few hours. According to the feedback we received we can say that they really liked it at Vetropack.
