Lower water consumption, more advanced technology
28.10.2026: Vetropack Moravia Glass is taking another step towards more resource-efficient production with a new automated washing line for PP layers. Using a water cascade system and UV sterilisation, the technology delivers water savings of approximately 10 per cent compared with a standard equipment configuration.
A water-saving project has been successfully completed at Vetropack Moravia Glass. As part of the project, a new, state-of-the-art washing line for PP layers has been installed and is now fully operational.
The washing, rinsing, drying, UV disinfection and subsequent stacking of the PP layers are carried out automatically by the new line. Thanks to a water cascade system and UV sterilisation, process water can be managed more efficiently, while the intervals between water changes can be extended. According to the supplier’s data, water savings of approximately 10 per cent can be achieved compared with a standard equipment configuration.
A higher degree of automation, simpler operation and lower maintenance requirements are also provided by the new technology. The line is designed to process up to 12,000 PP layers per eight-hour shift.
The project ‘Water Savings at VETROPACK MORAVIA GLASS, akciová společnost’ is co-financed by the European Union.
