Employee Spotlight: Lukáš Machálek

Quality, precision and reliability are essential in shaping perfection in glass. At Vetropack Moravia Glass, Lukáš Machálek helps make this possible every day. As a Maintenance Operator, his work ensures that the equipment behind the production process runs reliably and consistently.

The quality of glass packaging is closely linked to smooth and stable operation. When machines or components such as robots, sensors or filters do not function properly, the quality of the glass can quickly be affected. This is exactly where Lukáš’s role becomes crucial. Through regular inspections, diagnostics and planned repairs, he helps ensure that the equipment runs smoothly. When a problem occurs, he identifies the cause and restores the machines to full operation, helping keep production stable and preventing defects in the glass. Regular maintenance also supports the long-term stability of the entire process.

He is currently working on replacing damaged cables on the swabbing robot. The cables are stored in a cable carrier – a movable plastic that protects them during daily operation. “The swabbing robot helps ensure the stable quality of the glass we produce,” Lukáš explains.

What Lukáš values most about his job is its diversity. Every day brings new technologies, and new opportunities to learn. His journey with Vetropack began during his studies, when he joined the company as an intern and later worked as a summer student. After graduating, he decided to stay and continue full-time. From the beginning, he felt strong support from both his manager and the workshop team.

Today he values the opportunity to continuously develop his technical skills. This allows him to grow and keep pace with modern technologies, essential for the future of glassmaking. Because shaping perfection in glass depends not only on technology, but also on skilled people who make sure every part of the production process works reliably.
