Examples of good practice at the Waste Management conference

19.05.2023: A regional Waste Management Conference was held in Belgrade on 15 May, bringing together experts from different industries to exchange experiences and best practices in the field of waste management, with a focus on sustainability and successful business. Vetropack's contribution to sustainable waste management was presented by Robert Vražić, Supply Chain Manager in Vetropack Straža, as part of the panel "Circular economy – models and examples of good practice".

He emphasised that there is no alternative to waste management. Vetropack has the privilege of producing packaging that is almost 100% recyclable: glass can be recycled again and again without any loss of quality. The production of glass packaging allows us to close the glass loop, which significantly reduces the need for new natural raw materials and enables us to be highly efficient in sustainable waste management.

In addition, Vetropack Straža actively cooperates with partners and local communities in the collection and recycling of glass packaging, raising awareness of the importance of recycling and resource conservation.
